Welcome to Trivium Health Inc.

The right drug at the right time

Trivium Health Inc. application for Prior Authorization management is designed to help reduce drug expenditures and help with state and Federal compliance (Medicare Part D).  This program is used to ensure cost avoidance and control the inappropriate use of drugs. With most of the current PBM and Health Plans providing these service in a manual or paper fashion which is burdened with the lack of data capture  and the inability to track results. Trivium Health Inc. uses a process with built-in automated system that makes recipient-specific determinations using evidence-based criteria.

Automated evidence-based PA systems will be the key to delivering cost-effective, quality prescription drug benefits is now available.

While MCOs have been using this strategy successfully for years, traditionally employers have been hesitant to use prior authorization due to their unfamiliarity with the process and uncertainties over how the approach would impact their benefit programs and their employees.  However, when properly designed, implemented and carefully communicated to employees and their physicians, prior authorization can be an important tool in the ongoing battle to manage pharmacy costs.

"Having watched the evolution of pharmacy benefit on-line systems for over two decades, it is clear that the automation of prior authorization processes presents another leap forward in the business of managing pharmacy benefits and has created a tremendous opportunity to immediately achieve further administrative efficiencies while at the same time bringing about significant benefits to health plans, their members, pharmacies and prescribers.

Further, managers of pharmacy benefits and health plans must be vigilant in fulfilling their administrative and regulatory obligations.  One of the great benefits presented by enhancing prior authorization processes is that it will help greatly by creating the appropriate transaction records to not only meet this obligation but help reduce business risks."
